I chose Nearpod to create a lesson about Antiheroes. It was pretty functional in terms of the multimedia aspect and how easy it was to plug in different elements. I was able to convert the lesson to a pdf which I’m sure is pretty standard stuff, but to me that was still nice. I liked how easy it was to pull in website material, pictures, videos, and just run with it. Plus, nearpod comes equipped with a lot of interesting resources such as BBC links built directly in the app. It’s super easy to make a quick, functional lesson out of it. I did include some of my own writing, but I think the main strength of Nearpod is in its ability to quickly gather and present media. Another feature I found really interesting and useful was the ability to take the lesson “live” with real time interaction with individuals who have the session code and are at their computers. This take interaction with the students to a good level as far as I’m concerned: Because you can direct them from your computer but also work through each of the slides together as a class.

I absolutely loved using Nearpod as well!! It was user friendly and easy to add quizzes and information. Your lesson on Anti-hero is very unique. I learned a lot about a subject I have never been exposed to. Thank you so much for sharing. Your slides were captivating and full of information.

What a fun lesson! Be sure to hold on to this one. Not only would it be great as a fill-in, “quickie” lesson during your methods semester, but it could also be a great predecessor to a larger unit. I like the features in Nearpod as well. I look forward to seeing what else you come up with in the next few semesters.

I also used Nearpod to create my lesson. I have used Nearpod before but never created my own lessons. I really found that it was easy to create and it definitely came in handy once we discovered we may not return to school and would need to create an online lesson platform. I was very grateful that we had already explored these options.

Hey! Great lesson! I used Nearpod as well. Its so refreshing to use technology in different ways for the students. I like how you said “aking a lesson and turning it into real time interaction”. Lessons are all about engagement, and Nearpod is a great way to get them to interact with the lesson and each other. Again, great lesson!
